Creamy Cinnamon Bun Smoothie

This dreamy, cinnamon-spiked smoothie conceals a surprising secret: a half-cup of navy beans! These little white legumes blend up super creamy and add extra plant-based protein, fiber, and calcium. With 12 grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein (yep, no protein powder required!), this smoothie will leave you feeling full and satisfied.

Ingredients

cup unsweetened soy milk

1

medium frozen banana

1

Tbsp. almond butter

½

cup navy beans

½

tsp. cinnamon

1

tsp. vanilla

1–2

pitted Medjool dates, or 2–4 Deglet Noor dates

A little pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Pop all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend on high until smooth, 45-60 seconds. Before digging in, don’t skip the pinch of salt! It brings out the natural sweetness and enhances the cinnamon flavor.
